Teijiro Ueda was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1879.
In 1902, Teijiro Ueda graduated from Special Course of Tokyo Higher Commercial School. In 1905, he went to Europe for further studies.
Returning home, rejoined his alma mater as professor and later lectured on commercial and industrial administration and business and industrial policy at Tokyo Commercial College. In 1928, Ueda was Japan's delegate to the International Economic Conference in Geneva.
For two years, from 1926 to 1928, Teijiro was an editor at Kigyo-to Shakai magazine, through which he advocated "neoliberalism". His analytical research in the population of Japan was acknowledged in international scientific circles. Among his works are "Economy of Joint-Stock Companies," "Social Reform and Enterprise" and "Neo-Liberalism."
