Founded in 1892 by Charles Winthrop Gould and John Lincoln Wilkie, Gould & Wilkie is one of New York"s oldest law firms. The firm has traditionally been home to outstanding lawyers, the most prominent of whom was Learned Hand, a partner at the firm from 1904 to 1909 when he was appointed to the federal bench by President Taft.
