Thomas Joseph Bardos, Hungarian chemist, educator. Achievements include isolation and first synthesis of folinic acid (leukovorin); design and synthesis of antifolates, nucleoside analogs, dual antagonists (phosphoraziridines) and antitemplates (modified DNA, Ribonucleic acid and oligonucleotides) as anticancer and antiviral agents. Recipient Ebert prize Academy Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1971.
