Tikhon Mikhailovich Arakin

Background

Tikhon Mikhailovich Arakin was born in 1799.

Education

In 1819 he graduated from Voronezh Theological Seminary, and in 1822 – from St. Petersburg Medical Surgical Academy.

Career

Since 1822 he served as military doctor, and in 1837 he was confirmed in the rank of medical surgeon. During the Crimean War in 1853-1956 Arakin was a senior hospital medical officer in different provinces.

Achievements

• Arakin is the author of several scientific works.
