Career
Toranosuke Nishioka was a specialist in the economic history of Japan, he is famous for his study of the Shoen (manor) system. Was apointed a historiographer of Tokyo University and concurrently instructor at Kyoto University. Was a section chief in Tokyo University's Historiographical Institute.
