Yohachi studied waka under Natari Sawada.
Career
Tsunekata Noya was a master of spearmanship of the Hozoin school and waka. He was also a master of tea ceremony and was good at making bamboo spoons for tea ceremony. Retainer of the Aizu Clan (Fukushima Prefecture). Tsunekata Noya was killed in the Aizu Battle in the civil war of 1868.
