In 1930, Tsutomu Ueda graduated from Tokyo University. He studied English fiction of the 20th Century.
Career
Tsutomu Ueda became a professor at 4th Higher School (1939), 1st Higher School (1947) and Tokyo University (1951). He edited "Studies of Huxley" and translated works by Huxley, Garnet, Maugham and other English writers.
