Worked for the Dvinsk Bund organisation. 1904 emigrated; 1905, after Menshevik conference in Geneva, returned to Russia. Propaganda work in Saint St. Petersburg.
Saint St. Petersburg Menshevik deleg at 4th (Amalgamative) Russian Social-Democratic Workers’ Party Congress. Took liquidationist stand and worked for liqiudationist organs "Golos sotsial-demokrata” and “Vozrozhdemye”: member, ed staff, liquidationist jouranl “Nasha zarya”. During World War 1 took extreme right-wing defensist stand.
Worked for defensist journal "Delo": after 1917 February Revol worked for Menshevik newspaper "Vperyod”. Hostile toward 1917 October Revol and fought against Soviet regime. 1919 tried in case of the counterrevolutionary “tractical center” and sentenced to detention in a concentration camp until the end of the Civil War.
Subsequently engaged in lit work.
