In 1940 he studied at the Palekh Art School (now Palekh Artistic School named after M. Gorky).
Vadim Nikolayevich Kosogorov worked in the Voronezh creative-industrial Combine of the Art Fund (1947-1986). He was the participant of regional, zonal exhibitions since 1952. Vadim Nikolayevich worked primarily in the production of emblems. He carried out orders of the Voronezh Confectionery Factory (sketches of boxes and labels for candies "To the Stars" (1963), "Little Red Riding Hood" (1964), "Koltsov's Songs" (1966), "Voronezhskie" (the 1960s), also he designed dioramas in local lore museums of Voronezh and Efremov (Tula region) cities , the Museum of the Voronezh Nature Reserve.
