Valentin Vasilievich studied at Moscow Aviation Institute from 1952 to 1956 and graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Voronezh State University in 1963.
Valentin Vasilievich worked as an aircraft designer at Voronezh Aircraft Production Plant from 1956 to 1958. From 1963 to 1968, he worked in Molodoy Kommunar newspaper. He was the editor of Voronezh Oblast Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting from 1968 to 1974. Valentin Vasilievich worked as the editor of the review department of Podyom magazine since 1974. In 1992, he became the chairman of Voronezh State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.
Valentin Vasilievichv was published since 1963. He was published in Podyom magazine, Nash Sovremennik, Voprosy Literatury, Literaturnoe obozrenie and Poeziya almanac.
