Valentina Ivanovna Slychanova was born on November 9, 1945, in Klintsy, Bryansk, Russian Federation.
Valentina Ivanovna graduated from the cultural and educational school in 1964 and the choreographic department of the Moscow State Institute of Culture in 1970.
Valentina Ivanovna taught folk dance at the Voronezh Choreographic School from 1970 to 1998. At the Moscow State Academy of Slavic Culture as Associate Professor in 2002, she has been working as a tutor-teacher of the Gzhel Dance Theater since 1998.
