Valeria Yakovlevna graduated from the Voronezh Art and Industrial College (1929, teacher A. A. Buchkuri), theatrical and decorative department of the Moscow Art Institute (1941, workshop of V.A. Shestakov).
Career
In Voronezh since 1925. Valeria Yakovlevna participated in the organization of the Voronezh branch of the Youth Association of the Association of Artists of the Revolution and its exhibitions (1926-1930). Secretary of the Association Bureau (since 1927). Participant of the 1st rally of artists of the Central Black Earth Region (Voronezh, 1933).
Since 1934, a senior methodologist at the Central House of Art Education of Children in Moscow. During the Great Patriotic War, a teacher of drawing and history at a school in the village of Novyi Olshan, Ostrogozhsky District. The designer of the drama theater in the city of Rostov-Yaroslavsky (1946-1948). The main artist of the Yaroslavl regional mobile theater (1948-1949), Novgorod (1951-1952), Pskov (1952-1953) drama theaters, Mari Drama Theater named after M. Shketan (city of Yoshkar-Ola, since 1953).
Valeria Yakovlevna has designed more than 100 performances, including: "Comedy of Errors", "Romeo and Juliet" William Shakespeare, "Uncle Vanya" Anton Chekhov, "Thunderstorm" Alexander Ostrovsky (Mari Drama Theater), "Optimistic Tragedy" Vsevolod Vishnevsky, "Bath" Vladimir Mayakovsky, "The Invisible Lady Calderon" (Pskov Drama Theater), "Strong in Spirit Dmitry Medvedev" (Novgorod Drama Theater).
