Valeria Yakovlevna graduated from the Voronezh Art and Industrial College (1929, teacher A. A. Buchkuri), theatrical and decorative department of the Moscow Art Institute (1941, workshop of V.A. Shestakov).
In Voronezh since 1925. Valeria Yakovlevna participated in the organization of the Voronezh branch of the Youth Association of the Association of Artists of the Revolution and its exhibitions (1926-1930).
