Vera Vasilyevna studied at Voronezh Mariinsky Gymnasium. She studied dramatic art at the drama school of Moscow Maly Theater (1908-1911, class of A. Lensky, A. Fedotov) and at the same time singing at Moscow Conservatory (class of V. Zarudna).
