Giuleanu, Victor Alexandru was born on November 11, 1914 in Stroesti, Vilcea, Romania. Son of Alexandru and Ana Giuleanu.


Graduated from State Academy Music, Bucharest, 1941. Graduate Bucharest Faculty of Law, 1952. Graduate Bucharest University Pedagogic Seminar, 1945-1946, Dr.Musicology, 1976.


Assistant University Academy Music, Bucharest, Romania, 1949-1952, lecturer, 1952-1959, associate professor, 1959-1963, professor, since 1963, chair theory, conducting and pedagogy, dean composition, musicology, music teaching faculty, 1960-1962, rector academy, 1962-1972. Chief conductor Ciocirlia State Ensemble, 1954-1960. Conductor Romanian Broadcasting Company Choir, 1959-1960.

Recordings with State Ensemble Ciocirlia and Romanian Broadcasting Company Choir. Deputy to Bucharest People's Council, 1964-1974. Member, president various international juries.

Lecturer in field.
