Background

Victor Iosifovich Slavkin was born on August 1, 1935. His father, Joseph Naumovich Slavkin, moved to Moscow from Snovsk in the early 1930s.

Career

He worked as a master of industrial training, then as director of a vocational school in the system of labor reserves. From the beginning of the 1960s he was writing one-act plays, which were staged at theater-studio of the Moscow State University. The author and presenter of the TV program "The Old Apartment".
