Career

Victor Stepanovitch was a literary employee of the newspaper "Young Kommunar" (1974-1978), magazine "Political work" (Voronezh, 1978-1980). He was an assistant secretary of the Central Committee of the all-Union Lenin Communist Youth Union (1980-1982), head of the Department, deputy editor-in-chief of the journal "Rural Youth" (1982-1986). Head of the editorial office of modern prose publishing "Young guard" (1986-1995).

He held various positions in Moscow socio-political organizations (1995-2000): consultant (since 2000), adviser (since 2003) to the vice-mayor of Moscow. Since 2005, assistant mayor of Moscow.

Published in the magazine "Rise", "Moscow Herald", "Prose", "Russian bell". Author of books published in Moscow: "Contemporary" (1987), "Great Pines" (1990), "Night Light" (2002, 2003), "Seven notebooks" (2007).
