Violet Kimball received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri—St. Louis. She also graduated from Southern Illinois University—Edwardsville.
Violet Kimball worked as a substitute teacher at schools in St. Louis County from 1975 to 1985. In 1982 she became a freelance writer and photographer in Missouri and Illinois. Violet also serves as a volunteer for local political, civic, and charitable causes and gives readings from her books.
