Rudenkov Vladimir Mikhaylovich was born on July 26th, 1939 in the town of Vasilevichi of Gomel region of the BSSR.

He graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute in 1962. Then he worked there from 1966 till 1995. He started his career there as an assistant and then became a professor in the Department of Economics, Management of Scientific Research, Engineering and Manufacture.
In March 1972 he defended his candidate thesis in economics in the Belarusian State Institute of National Economy. From 1976 till 1986 he participated in research scientific work of national standing and cooperated with the Institute of Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and with a number of institutions of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Some years he spent off-job for training in Moscow Road-Transport Institute (Department of Economics), in Leningrad Institute of Engineering and Economics, in CNIITU (Minsk), and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
He also cooperated with the University of Bundeswehr in Munich, Bremen University and Export Academy (Reutlingen, Federal Republic of Germany) as part of foreign exchange and further training of national human resources program.
In June 1989 Rudenkov Vladimir Mikhaylovich defended his doctorate thesis in specializations 08.00.05 “Economics, Planning and Organization of Management of the National Economy” and 20.02.17 “Military Equipment Operation and Recovery” at Lenin Higher Naval Military College. The same year, the USSR State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles granted him the Degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences.
From 1995 till 1998 he worked as a head of the Division of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Belarus. At that period of time he participated in the development of National Program of Sustainable Development of the Republic of Belarus, in preparation of program for import substitution, contributed to creation of National Centre for Marketing and Price Study, to creation of the Export Support Fund of Belvnesheconombank of the Republic of Belarus. As an observer from the Republic of Belarus, he participated in the work of the World Trade Organization (Geneva), studied work experience of Israel Export Institute (Tel Aviv) and the stated policy of control and non-proliferation of weapons of the Japanese Government (Tokyo).
In November 1998 he became a head of the opened in St. Petersburg department of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation. During his work in St. Petersburg he actively pursued a policy of introduction of Belarusian goods into the market of the north-western region of Russia, supported creation of the national and cultural autonomy of the Belarusian community in St Petersburg.
In the course of the years of his scientific and practical activity he became a specialist in the field of the theory of management and foreign trade.
From November 2001 he became a head of the Department of Economic Relations of the Belarusian State University.
Rudenkov Vladimir Mikhaylovich published more than 120 works in Russian, and in foreign languages, among which there are 10 monographs, 2 patents and a number of scientific reports and articles.
