He worked as an assistant director for the literary part in the theater of the Northern Fleet (Murmansk), the chief administrator of the Musical and Russian Drama Theaters in Petrozavodsk. Since 1981 hold the post of the Head of the Department of Scientific Propaganda, during 1983-1990 was the director of the State Historical, Architectural and Natural Museum-Reserve (Valaam skeleton on the Ladoga Lake), which became the town-forming institution on the island. In 1990-1993 he was engaged in business in the sphere of culture and restoration of historical monuments. In 1993, he headed the unique historical and natural-landscape territory of Valaam. Currently - the head of the State Institution "Natural Park" Valaam Archipelago" and the Valaam Research and Nature Museum-Reserve.
In 2009, in the new St. Vladimir Skete in memory of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II, the permanent exposition "History of the Valaam Monastery" was opened and consecrated by Patriarch Kirill.
