The Golf Primer is a beautifully illustrated and informative book, written especially for adult beginners and high handicapped players. Different levels of learning and the importance of each are explained in lay terms. Both the physical and the psychological challenges of the game for teacher and learner are addresssed. Technical aspects of the four basic strokes (putting, chipping, pitching, and the full swing) presented in THE GOLF PRIMER are consistent with the concepts and principles found in the publications of the National Golf Foundation and the Professional Golf Association's Teaching Manual. Each of the four basic golf strokes is discussed in an individual chapter. The book includes 10 chapters, each with numerous illustrations that help learners to visualize and imitate movements needed to make effective strokes. A synopsis of reputable golf schools and academies is included. Sound technical information encourages beginners and high handicapped players to improve their skills. THE GOLF PRIMER is an excellent resource manual for individual and gropup instruction.
