Career
Baird took up teaching temporarily while she tried to finish her Master of Arts thesis. However, her Open University teaching continued, and education was sidelined.
In 1961, she left the university and began publishing on the pages of the British science fiction magazine New Worlds, using the pseudonym of Keplin James. She then changed it to Wilhelmina Baird and wrote four other novels: "Course on the Catastrophe", "ClipJoon", "Psychosis" and "Chaos Comes Again".
Now Baird works as a freelance writer, living in France.
