He graduated from University of Toronto and got the Master of Arts in the field of literature in 1969, then he approved his knowledges at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education where he got Master of Education in 1984.
He worked at High school as an English teacher and department head in Ontario, Canada during the years 1970-87. Also he started working at Harbin University of Science and Technology as an English instructor in 1982-83 and he was at Foreign Affairs College of China in Beijing as English instructor in 1985-86.
