Yaa Oforiwaa graduated from Howard University, receiving her Bachelor of Arts in 1972.

Career

Mrs. Oforiwaa has worked as a statistical assistant, secretary, medical school manager, and English teacher for middle and secondary schools. From 1983 to 1985 she served as a principal of a private school and currently a teacher and student of African world literature. She has also been a contributor of book reviews to newspapers, including News Dimensions (Washington, DC).
