Education
Yasokichi Konishiki became a disciple of Uragoro Takasago at the age of 14.
Career
Yasokichi Konishiki was admitted to ranks of Juryo (higher grade of sumo) in 1888, and was promoted Ozeki (champion) in 1890 and became a full-fledged Yohozurm (grand champion) in 1898.
Retired and took to himself the name of Hatachiyama in 1901. While on a tour of Kyushu died at Hakata, Fukuoka.
