He graduated from Tokyo University.
Career
He joined the editorial staff of the Asahi (1922) and became the London correspondent of the paper. Was made editor-in-chief of the Asahi. After the end of the Pacific War, he left the post and became the director of the Journalism Research Institute of Tokyo University (1950).
