Yukio Suzuki was born in 1912 in Osaka, Japan.
He graduated from Waseda University.
After graduating from Waseda University stayed behind as instructor to eventually become professor in 1951. He was chief of the department devoted to research in American literature. Among his works are "Essays of Modern English Writers", "Modern American Literature", "Main Current of English Literature" and a translation of Virginia Woolf's "The Waves".
