1954 - graduated from the 7th grade of the secondary school No. 623 in Moscow. 1954-1955 - a student of the 2nd Moscow Artillery Preparatory School. Because of the disbandment of this school, transferred to the Stavropol Suvorov School. August 1955 - August 1957 - graduate of the Stavropol Suvorov School. 1962 - graduated from Kharkiv Higher Military Command Engineering College majoring in "Electroautomatic systems and devices of mobile and stationary special equipment" and received the specialty "electrical engineer".
From July 3, 1962 - a junior military representative at the factory number 686; from December 4, 1963 - Officer 4 of Division 2 of the Main Directorate of Missile Armament of the Strategic Missile Forces.
October 28, 1965 - by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force assigned for the post of the cosmonaut-listener of the 1st cosmonaut detachment of the Air Force CTC (3rd set); from December 30, 1967 - the cosmonaut of the 2nd detachment.
January 1975 - June 1976 - flight engineer of the third crew on the program of the first expedition to OPS-103 Almaz (Salyut-5) together with V. Gorbatko; July-October 1976 - flight engineer of backup crew for flight to OPS-103 "Salute-5" ("Almaz") under the program of the second main expedition together with V. Gorbatko;
October 14, 1976 - backup flight engineer of the Soyuz-23 spacecraft V. Rozhdestvensky.
1982 - dropped out of the cosmonaut detachment because of the appointment to a new position.

Since June 25, 1986 - Deputy Head of the 2nd Department of the CPC for Research and Testing, Leading Test Engineer; since September 30, 1987 - Head of the 2nd (training) management of the CPC; since March 9, 1989 - deputy head of the CPC for scientific work; from April 2, 1992 - First Deputy Head of the CPC, Head of Space and Flight Training;
February 29, 2000 - was fired into the reserve due to his age;
