Became a member of the SR party in 1904. After the events of February 1917, he, along with M.L. Kogan-Bernstein and K.S. Burev became the leader of the SR party's Voronezh division. Since April 1917, the editor of the local newspaper "Socialist Revolutionary", then - "Voice of Labor". Since 1934, he worked as a planner economist and statistician at the Zhirkombinat plant. Throughout his career, he was repeatedly subjected to arrests and imprisonments which culminated in his execution in 1938. His works were published in such journals as "Katorga and Link", "Ural Regional Studies", "Ural Economy", "Ural Hunter".
