Yuri Vasilyevich graduated from Yelets Musical College (1978), Voronezh State Institute of Arts (class of M.F. Shvetsov, 1983).
Yuri Vasilyevich worked as a concertmaster in the Voronezh State academic Russian folk chorus in the name of K.I. Massalitinov (1983-1989), in Vechora ensemble at the Maslovsky State farm near Voronezh (1989-1995). Artistic Director of ensemble "Druzhina" of the 20th Guards army (since 1995), winner of the all-Russian contest "Victoria" (2000, Moscow), military ensembles (2002, Krasnodar), and interregional competition "Tambov dawns" (2003, Tambov).The author of novel-poem "Kink" (published under the pseudonym Yuri Rosin; Voronezh, 2003).
