Yuzuru Watase was born in 1907, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
Yuzuru Watase graduated from Economics Department of Kyoto University (1930) and from Physics Department of Tohoku University (1933).
Yuzuru Watase served as lecturer and assistant professor of Osaka University. Appointed professor of Osaka University (1947), and also of Osaka Municipal University (1949). Published theses on the atomic nucleus and magnetron and received subsidy from Ministry of Education for "Research on the Atomic Nucleus and Ultra-Short Waves." Received the Asahi Science Promotion Fund for "Research on Cosmic Rays," together with Yataro Sekido of Nagoya University (1949 and 1950). Wrote many books, including "Progress of Quantum Physics."
