He was a senior master (1955-1957), then deputy foreman (1957–1961) and foreman (1961–1974) of the Voronezh aircraft factory. In 1974 he became the director of the Voronezh plant of building aluminum structures. Two years later he became the General Director of the Voronezh aircraft factory. His activities are closely connected with the development and serial production of the An-10, Tu-16, Tu-128, Tu-160, the first supersonic Tu-144 passenger aircraft, the wide-body planes Il-86, Il-96-300, Il-96T, and others.
