Alexander Pilschikov was born on November 15, 1915 in Elovka village in the times of the Russian Empire (nowadays Russian Federation).
He graduated from the Kiev Music College in 1939, he studied at the Kiev Conservatory in 1939-1941. He graduated from the Lviv Conservatory in 1965.
He was a member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked as a lecturer at the Voronezh College of Music in 1950-1960. A. Poletayev, V. Gladky, Y. Popov, V. Golubyatnikov, D. Zhukov were his students. He performed at the concerts of the Philharmonic as part of the domra quartet (P. Shmatko, V. Zubchenko, Y. Vorontsov, A. Pilshchikov). He led the orchestra of folk instruments in the play "Alexey Koltsov" of the Voronezh Drama Theater during the ten-day festival of the Voronezh region art in Moscow in 1958. In 1961 he moved to the city of Lipetsk.
