Alexander Vasilievich graduated from the Voronezh Theological Seminary (1814) and Kharkov University (1819).
Alexander Vasilievich was an Adjunct of the Department of Russian Literature of Kharkov University (since 1820). Senior clerk of the office of the trustee of the school district (since 1825), an official of the Department of Destinies (since 1830). Member of the Society of Sciences at Kharkov University, member of the Free Society of Lovers of Literature, Sciences and Arts (Saint Petersburg). Initiator of the creation of a scientific and literary circle among students (1823).
Author of the book "Experiments in Verses" (Kharkov, 1819; commendations from N.I. Grech and A.F. Voeikov in "The Son of the Fatherland" in 1819-1820), and the article "On the Benefits and Purpose of Poetry" (Ukrainian Journal, 1824 No. 16.17). Sklobovsky’s poem "Pompey" (Kharkov, 1822) is dedicated to V.A. Zhukovsky.
Editor of the Ukrainian Journal published by Kharkov University (1824-1825), where Alexander Vasilievich posted a number of ethnographic articles. Published in the Ukrainian Bulletin (Kharkov, 1816-1818). Editor and publisher of a collection of student poems "Experiments in literature" (Kharkov, 1823).
