Alexandra Ivanovna Tambovskaya was born on February 28, 1949, in the village of Yarlukovo, Gryazinsky District, Lipetsk Region, Russian Federation.
Alexandra Ivanovna graduated from a teacher training college in 1968, and the journalism department of the Faculty of Philology of Voronezh State University in 1974.
Alexandra Ivanovna worked in a rural school, teacher training college, editorial offices of district and regional newspapers. She was engaged in pedagogical and mainly journalistic work in Dankov, Lebedyan, and Lipetsk. From 1999 to 2011 Alexandra Ivanovna was an employee of the advertising and publishing department of the Lipetsk Regional Children's Library. In 2011, 2012, 2013 she was the head of the Lipetsk regional organization of the Union of Writers of Russia. For 15 years she led the studio of young Lipetsk poets "Runway".
Alexandra Ivanovna is a laureate of the E.I. Zamyatin Prize of the Lipetsk Regional Branch of the Literary Fund of the Russian Federation (2010), the prize of the II International Literary Contest named after S.V. Mikhalkov for the best work for adolescents (2010), the Petrovsky Bridge magazine ( 2011), diploma winner of the All-Russian contest "Master" of the Union of Writers of Russia and the Union of Russian Engineering (2010). In 2019 she received the city literary prize named after A. Lipetskiy and the regional prize named after I.A. Bunin for the collection of works "Troekurovsky Park Alleys".
