In 1891-1901, Alexandra Karlovna was the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater. She later performed in private opera enterprises, including the St. Petersburg People's House (1902). The first performer of the role of Brigitte ("Iolanta" Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky). The roles of Gorislava ("Ruslan and Lyudmila" Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka) and Olga ("Mermaid" Alexander Sergeevich Dargomyzhsky) became famous.
In 1897, Alexandra Karlovna performed a solo part in "Solemn Mass" by Joacchino Rossini. She was dedicated to romances by Nikolai Andreevich Rimsky-Korsakov ("Not a wind blowing from a height", 1897), Alexander Konstantinovich Glazunov ("Desire", 1898).
After marriage, Alexandra Karlovna lived in Voronezh. She participated in a charity concert (January 1910), sang at a musical evening in memory of Alexander Sergeyevich Dargomyzhsky (March 1913). According to the memoirs of G.I. Shukhmin, participated in home concerts and musical evenings.
