In 1972, Anatoly Alexandrovich graduated from the Faculty of History of Buryat State University.
In the years 1972-1978 Anatoly Alexandrovich Lyutykh was employed as a history teacher in the Voronezh vocational schools. During 1980-1987 worked as a professor, associate professor of the CPSU history department at the Voronezh Technological Institute (now Voronezh State Technical University), 1987–1999 professor, head of the CPSU history department (since 1991 - political history) at the Voronezh Civil Engineering Institute (now Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering). In 1999-2003, was a professor, head of the department of International Relations and Regional Policy, Voronezh State University. Since 2003, professor of the department of International Relations and Regional Policy.
Anatoly Alexandrovich is the author of the books: "Political Science: A Course of Lectures" (Voronezh, 1992; together with V. A. Tonkikh), "Living Water of the Motherland: (From the history of the native land: Russia - Don - Voronezh)" (Voronezh, 1996; in conjunction with V. A. Tonkikh and VV Budakov), "The history of international relations and the foreign policy of Russia (USSR) in 1918-1939" (Voronezh, 2004; jointly with V. Tonkikh).
