Before World War I, an active member of the SR Party. First husband of N. Krupskaia (who later married V. Lenin). Close friend of Dora Kaplan, who made an attempt on Lenin’s life.
Wrote books criticizing the communist dictatorship in Russia. Lived in Argentina from 1918.
