Boris was a student of the Voronezh State Medical Institute in Voronezh, Russian Federation.

Career

Boris was a member of the Great Patriotic War. He was a chief doctor of the central hospital of the city of Molotov (now Perm) from 1952 to 1957, the founder of the inter-regional professional pathological center, its head from 1969 to 1996. He worked as a lecturer of the Voronezh State Medical Institute. The main directions of scientific work: occupational health, prevention, and treatment of occupational diseases.

Boris was the author of about 150 works with images of prominent Russian figures of the 13th-19th centuries recreated from historical documents, including the first builders of the navy. The creator of the portrait gallery of the founders and famous natives of the city of Voronezh. Katz usually supplied his works with special explanatory texts.

Achievements

• In the Voronezh Regional Universal Scientific Library named after I.S. Nikitin, he took place different exhibitions of works by Katz in 1985, 1991.
