Boris Efimovich Korostylyov was a conductor of military orchestras (1958-1967), senior instructor of the department of culture and art of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR (1975-1986). The teacher of the Moscow Suvorov Military Music School (now The Valery Khalilov Moscow Suvorov Military Music College) (1960-1967), military and conductor's faculty of the Moscow conservatory (since 1986), Military institute of military conductors at the Moscow Military University (since 2007).
