Boris Mikhailovich was a cadet and junior commander of the 22nd Ukrainian Tank Brigade (1936-1938), senior instructor of the House of the Red Army (1938-1939), head of the club of the military college of communications (1939-1940), listener of the Military-Political School (1940-1941).
Boris Mikhailovich took part in the Great Patriotic War. After being wounded (1942) he became a senior instructor of the political department of the 5th Ural Tank Brigade, 48th Ural Infantry Division. In 1945-1953 Lazerson was an instructor of political management, head of the ensemble of the Urals Military District (Sverdlovsk city). Head of the ensemble of the Voronezh Military District (1953-1960). He was a director of the House of Culture of the plant named after the Comintern (1962-1984).
Under Lazerson’s supervision, the House of Culture became one of the best cultural and educational institutions in Voronezh. It included popular amateur groups, a gymnastics school, an art studio (governed by E.M. Romanovskaya), a factory museum of labor glory, a concert hall (one of the permanent touristic venues of Voronezh).
