Carol H. Ehrlich

Background

Carol H. Ehrlich was born on May 3, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. She is the daughter of Ralph M. and Martha (Ahrens) Hansen.

Education

Ehrlich attended Northwestern University from 1944 to 1947 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Denver in 1949. She then also received her master's degree and a doctorate from it in 1961 and 1965, respectively.

Career

Ehrlich started her career as an assistant professor at the University of Denver in 1965. In 1969, she went to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where she had served as an assistant professor and director of speech and hearing for two years.

After that, Ehrlich started her long relationship with Children’s Hospital in Denver as a director of audiology and speech. She held that position till 1984, and after that worked as a treasurer, secretary, and member of the medical board there until her retirement.
