Chikatomo Yuki

Background

Yuki Chikatomo was born in Japan. He was the eldest son of Munehiro.

Career

Originally served Emperor Godaigo together with his father, and for distinguished services rendered in fighting the Kamakura Sliogunate was created Lord of Shimotsuke (Tochigi Prefecture) (1333) After the death of his father he entered the services of Chikafusa Kitabatake (1338), but after the latter lost power and was detained in Oda Castle by the forces of Morofuyu Kono, he joined the army of Ashikaga and later fought under Sadaie Kira against Akinobu Kitabatake.
