Elizabeth Petrovna Tkacheva was born on August 16, 1955, in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russian Federation. Her parents were musicians. The father was a teacher of theory and musical literature at school, and her mother was a pianist.
In 1971, Elizabeth Petrovna got into Makhachkala Music School, specialty "Piano". In 1976, after graduating from the Makhachkala Music School, she entered the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory to the faculty of the theory and composition, specialty "Composition". In 1981 she graduated from the Conservatory, specialty "Composer" and "Teacher of musical and theoretical disciplines".
Elizabeth Petrovna started her career as a teacher. During the two years after graduating from the Conservatory, she taught at the Makhachkala Music School (1981-1983).
In 1984, Elizabeth Petrovna moved to Voronezh for permanent residence. Since 1984, she has been working at the Voronezh State Academic Drama Theater named after A. Koltsov as the Head of the music department. At the same time, she was the Secretary of the Voronezh organization of the Union of composers from 1993 to 1996. Since 1995 she is a member of its Board.
