Get ready to snap your fingers! The Addams Family is back on the big screen in the first animated comedy about the kookiest family on the block. Funny, outlandish, and utterly iconic, the Addams Family redefines what it means to be a good neighbor.
Finn Wolfhard is a Canadian singer and musician. Finn Wolfhard made his screen acting debut at a young age beginning with guest appearances at age 10 on TV shows such as The 100 and Supernatural. He is known for starring in the show Stranger Things and the films It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). Though Finn primarily gained fame for his television pursuits and film career, he has also featured in the music video for the song Guilt Trip (2014).
Background
Ethnicity:
Finn Wolfhard is of Ashkenazi Jewish (one quarter), German, Scandinavian, Welsh, and Irish descent.
Finn Wolfhard was born on December 23, 2002, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to Mary Jolivet and Eric Wolfhard. Finn's father is a researcher on aboriginal land claims. He also has an older brother, Nick Wolfhard, who is also an actor. His great-great-aunt was silent film and theatre actress Rita Jolivet.
Wolfhard said that he’s always been interested in acting and screenwriting, so his parents allowed him to try his hand at acting, revealing that he landed his first gig on Craigslist. From there he took acting classes but said they didn’t really improve his acting ability.
Finn heard about the Stranger Things auditions via an open casting call. He was stuck in bed sick, but he refused to miss the opportunity. So he did what any determined actor would do. He shot his audition from his bed and emailed it in. It wasn’t long before the creators of the show called him for a second audition. He sent in his audition via video.
However, it was at 13, when he was cast in a starring role as Mike Wheeler on the Netflix series Stranger Things that he gained widespread fame. The sci-fi show immediately took off and Finn and the rest of the kids in the cast were immediate stars.
A second season was quickly ordered and was also a ratings hit. In the meantime, Finn was cast as Richie in the major motion picture horror It, starring alongside Bill Skarsgård and fellow child star Jaeden Lieberher. He also played a lead role in the feature film Dog Days (2018), with Vanessa Hudgens and Nina Dobrev.
Finn reprised his role as Mike in the third season of Stranger Things, as well as his role as Richie in IT: Chapter Two (2019). He has also completed a starring role in the motion picture horror/thriller The Turning (2020), which is a modern remake of the 1961 feature film The Innocents starring Deborah Kerr (which in turn was based on Henry James' novella The Turn of the Screw). He plays a young orphan named Miles in it, who, along with his sister Flora, gets a new governess, played by Mackenzie Davis. In The Goldfinch (2019), he plays a supporting role as a Russian teenager named Boris, alongside Oakes Fegley, who plays Theo in the film based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. Finn also has a starring role in the next chapter in another epic horror comedy franchise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2020). After acting, he wants to step into screenwriting or film direction.
Wolfhard recently started the Toronto-based band with three other teens. In an interview with Young Hollywood just before their debut performance, the band said some of its biggest influences include Billy Joel, Mac DeMarco, and Twin Peaks. Wolfhard was the lead vocalist and guitarist until the band officially dissolved in November 2019. Finn started a new band named The Aubreys. They are going to debut on the soundtrack of Finn's movie, The Turning.
Much like his on-screen love interest Millie Bobby Brown, who was the face of Calvin Klein, Finn has already landed himself a major deal with a luxury fashion house at a young age. For the Fall/Winter 2019 season, Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello has tapped the rising star to front the David Sims-lensed campaign, in which he channels Bob Dylan in a skinny, black suit and a pair of statement sunglasses.
After Stranger Things premiere Finn became an immediate star, attending and presenting at numerous prestigious awards shows, including the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards (where he won the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series award) and the Primetime Emmy Awards.
For his appearance in the first two seasons of Stranger Things, it was confirmed that he was receiving $30,000 per episode. For the third season of Stranger Things, it was speculated that he will be receiving $250,000 per episode.

Wolfhard has his own frog apparel with a company called Represent. Proceeds from the frog apparel went to help flood victims in Houston. He accepted the 22-push-up challenge after he was nominated by his best friend Gaten Matarazzo. It was done to bring awareness to military veterans’ mental health.
Quotations:
"It's going to sound cheesy, but if I have family and friends I don't really care where I am."
"It's really cool when the thing you are working on as a small team gets embraced by millions, but in the end, it's about your character and the script and your director and the rest of the cast and crew."
Personality
When not shooting for television series and films, you can find Finn either in school balancing his education with his star-career or mugging up lines for his next rehearsal. Despite his huge fan following and star-studded status, Finn Wolfhard is down-to-earth and a level-headed child. He loves jamming with his friends, hanging out with his family, enjoying some private playtime with his pets, or just playing with his sibling.
Finn’s love for acting and cinema goes all the way back to the time when he saw his first movie, Spider-Man. It was his first experience of a movie that impressed Finn so much that he decided to become an actor. His other favorite movies are Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Goonies, and Sixteen Candles.
He is a big fan of Steven King, and he tells about it on Instagram. Nevertheless, Finn admitted to having a fear of clowns, appropriate for playing Richie Tozier in the new It movie. Despite starring in the newly adapted movie, he never finished reading Stephen King’s It.
