He graduated from Tokyo University (1925) where he studied the spectrum and atomic physics. He went abroad to Europe for further study in 1929.
Career
He appointed professor of the Science Department of the Tokyo University of Education in 1941 and director of its attached Optical Research Institute in 1950. Dr. of Scientist and a member of the Japan Academy. Toured Europe and U.S.A. in 1954 as chief of mission in charge of inspecting atomic power.
