Career
One of the compilers of the famous anthology, Shin-Kokin-wakasnu. Studied waka composing under Shunzei Fujiwara. He was a Councillor of the Court. The collection of his poems is titled Asukai-wakashu.
Personality
He was skillful at playing kemari (football).
