Fukushima Masao was born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1889.

Education

Fukushima Masao graduated from Tokyo University in 1912.

Career

Fukushima Masao served as professor of Hiroshima Bunrika (literature and science) University, the Kenkoku University, the Otani University and the Kobe University; assumed the present post in 1954.

Achievements

• Introduced Pestalozzi in Japan and contributed to study and development of the pedagogy of Pestalozzi.
