Gabor Groh is a Hungarian mathematician, educator and scientist. He is a President of Physmatec Consulting.

Background

Groh was born on April 26, 1948 in Budapest, Hungary; the son of Julius and Margit (Molnar) Groh. He arrived in Switzerland in 1957 and naturalized in 1970.

Education

Groh received a diploma in physics from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 1974. Eight years later he was given a Doctor of Philosophy degree in mathematics from the same university.

Career

Groh began his career as a research associate at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in 1975 and held the position for seven years and in 1985-2005. In 1982, he became a research associate at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, where he worked until 1983.

A year later Gabor was a visiting lecturer of mathematics department at the University of California in Berkeley. The same year he was appointed a consultant at Medichem S. A. in Fribourg, Switzerland. Since 1995, Groh has been a president of Physmatec Consulting.
