Galina Olekhnovich was born on November 22, 1930 in Minsk, Belarus.
From 1957 to 1965 Galina Olekhnovich was a research fellow Belarusian Academy of Sciences, studied in graduate school. In 1965, after defending her doctoral dissertation, she came a senior lecturer at the Department of Political Economy BSSNEI named after V.V. Kuibyshev. In 1970-1998, she worked as an assistant professor of political economy (later Department of Economic Theory ), BSU named after V. Lenin. In 1980 she defended her doctoral thesis at the Institute of National Economy named after G.V. Plekhanov (Moscow). She holds the rank of professor (1984 ). In 2006, she resumed operations in Belarus State Economic University (BSEU) as a professor of international business.
