Genzaburo Noguchi taught at Matsumoto Middle School and then as lecturer and professor (from 1925) at Tokyo Higher Normal School and engaged in compilation of the history of Japan Amateur Athletic Association.
Served as expert adviser of People's Physical Strength Council. He was general manager of the Japanese team in the 1940 East Asia Athletic Meet. Appointed professor at Tokyo University of Education (1949) and dean of Physical Education Department of the same university, and director of Taiiku Semmon Gakko (College of Physical Education) (1950); retired under age limit (1951). He was a professor of Saitama University and Juntendo University. Genzaburo Noguchi served also as counselor of Japan Track & Field Games League and Japan Students' Track & Field Games League.
